Happy Hour for Hope

H3 is a once-a-month social gathering to inspire hope by recognizing kindness, courage, strength, and generosity at a time when the whole world is struggling.

Join us on the second Thursday every month at 6 p.m. eastern time for an uplifting hour to benefit people in need. Happy Hour for Hope supports organizations providing COVID-19 relief, the fight for social justice, climate change, and other initiatives aimed at helping people and making the world a better place.

Each happy hour features a special guest (leaders, inspirational speakers, writers, magicians, musicians…) and fun social interactions.

Attendees can make donations by buying "drinks." Of course, these aren't real drinks; your "drink" purchase is your donation. One hundred percent of the income goes directly to that Happy Hour's charity. Attendance is free, and your donation is tax-deductible.

Next H3: John Kippen: "Your Difference Is Your Superpower"

Thursday, June 10, 2021, 6:00 PM-7:00 PM Eastern Time

Following the successful removal of a brain tumor, John Kippen awakened to find his face paralyzed and loss of hearing in his left ear. It didn’t take John long to notice how people treated him differently. After a while, it eroded his self-confidence, which impacted his quality of life. Performing magic saved his life by showing others who he is on the inside and that the physical deformity didn’t matter.

Today, John is a motivational speaker who uses magic to inspire others to recognize their differences as superpowers. Through his magic, John shares stories of overcoming his health issues to inspire people to see the gifts in their challenges. He frequently performs at the world-famous Magic Castle in Hollywood and has performed for celebrities like Jamie Lee Curtis, Christopher Guest, Kelsey Grammar, and Alex Trebek.

Join John and me on Thursday, June 10, at 6 pm for a very special first-anniversary celebration of Happy Hour for Hope. We’ll be giving you a sneak peek at the new mini-documentary, “John’s Ultimate Illusion,” which is about his inspiring journey to feeling good about life and helping others do the same. John will also share some of his special magic, delivered in his heartwarming style.
